It has the modern feeling neck , only made for a brief period . The dating is by the revised Spann shipping records. ( by serial number we used to call this a 1928)

Only 29 sunburst Super 400Ps were produced and only 10 in 1940 (13 in 1941 , last year made) the guitar has been professionally refretted , and shows very light playing wear, with no cracks or repairs. Lovely figured maple. Script logo and Catalyn button tuners .Originally in the Van Hoose collection and then in the Chinery collection. It is pictured in the Super 400 book. Excellent tone and setup
