This guitar is in very good condition. There is a back story.
This is a c2010 instrument. The neck went bad under warranty, thus the 2019 neck and serial number. The truss rod nut on the new neck stripped and a new nut was installed. Replacing the nut should be a simple task. But, with this style of Strat neck the nut is “hidden” under a rosewood dowel. Often when removing the dowel it isn’t salvageable so a new dowel needs to be cut from scratch. The new dowel rarely matches perfectly (see photo). The good news is the new neck and its truss rod now functions perfectly.
Also, at some point the pickups and pick guard were removed to install a set of three humbuckers on their own pick guard and the pickup cavity was routed for 3 HBs. Those humbuckers are now gone and the 3 original SCN (Samarium Cobalt Noiseless) pickups, pick guard and controls were put back in.
For those of you who aren’t familiar with the Fender American Deluxe Stratocaster, it is the top of the production line for the Fender Stratocaster. The American Deluxe Stratocaster is loaded with features that players have been customizing their Strats with for years. Fender has taken the best modifications and put them into production on the American Deluxe Stratocaster.
Features include a maple neck with “C” profile and Micro-Tilt. 22 medium jumbo frets and contoured neck heel. Fender locking tuners, 1 11/16" nut width and 25 1/2" scale length. Fitted are the SCN3 Noiseless single-coil pickups for improved Stratocaster tones with no hum. Master volume & dual tone controls and an S-1 switch for even greater tonal versatility. The S1 switch is a push-button cleverly hidden in the center of the volume knob. With a press of the S1 switch you now have access to 5 new pickup selection settings when using the blade pickup selector.
