Offered for sale:
Used 2017 Gibson SJ-200 Western Classic Limited in Vintage Sunburst finish, serial number 10067091.
This guitar is in excellent condition showing almost no playing time; I’m still trying to find pick scratches. I must have made a couple; the original owner certainly didn’t.
The top is thermally aged Adirondack red spruce over Indian rosewood back and sides. The neck is 3 piece; 2 halves of figured maple with ¼" wide walnut “stringer” between. With such a thin finish there is the ever so slight feel of the seam.
Gibson’s current specs say the bridge and fretboard are ebony. Maybe it was different in 2017. The fretboard certainly appears to be rosewood, and the bridge looks very similar but lighter than the back and sides.
Gibson did a great job here. It is a beautifully built instrument with as fine a tone as you will hear in a J-200.
Gibson states:
Hail to the King
The legacy of Gibson’s “King of the Flat-Tops” continues with the SJ-200 Western Classic. From its first appearance in 1937, Gibson’s SJ-200 set an unmatched standard. The SJ-200 Western Classic from the Gibson Acoustic Custom Shop continues that tradition. With Indian rosewood back and sides paired with a AAA Sitka spruce top, it delivers impressive volume and exceptional tone. It is also one of the most stylish acoustic guitars ever created, with a four-bar Moustache bridge, ebony fingerboard with block mother of pearl inlays, gold Waverly tuning machines, and a Western Classic torch inlay on the headstock.
Original Gibson hardshell case is included.
“We carefully inspect every instrument when we buy it and bring it up to our standards before we offer it for sale. We also do a full set up before we ship.”
“If you decide to purchase this guitar, please let us know what gauge strings you prefer.”

*Please note: we do our best giving descriptions of used pieces. We have found it impossible to describe every mark on an instrument or amp that is not in the "mint" category. Also, what's important to you may not be important to someone else. For example, you may say, "I don't care what it looks like as long as it plays or sounds well." Another person may say, "Body cosmetics are very important to me so tell me about every scratch, nick and blemish." So, please ask the questions that are most important to you. If you ask they will be answered. They are free and there's no limit. Additional photos can also be made available.
