The G6128T-TVP Power Jet puts a snarl into That Great Gretsch Sound! This is the high performance version of the classic Duo Jet. To up the ante it's been outfitted with TV Jones Power’Tron pickups, Sperzel locking tuners, pinned Adjusto-Matic bridge and a weight & feel that sez don't hold back.
 
Then there's all that other traditional goodness that Gretsch has been refining over the decades. A bound single-cutaway chambered Mahogany body, arched top, one-piece Mahogany neck and bound Ebony fingerboard with Neo Classic thumbnail inlays, silver plexi pickguard, bound headstock with pearloid Gretsch logo inlay, Bigsby B3C vibrato tailpiece, and Mahogany stain finish with jet black top.
The controls are uniquely Gretsch and highly funtional. It sports a three-position pickup switch with a master volume and 2 pickup volume controls. Plus a fast acting 3 position master tone switch. Position 1: dark (like a tone knob rolled back to zero). Position 2: bright (like a tone knob rolled back to about ten). Position 3: not-too-bright (like a tone knob rolled back to about five). These additional settings expand the sonic capabilities of this very well made instrument. You just might find yourself using tone controls for the first time.
 
Owning an original Anniversary and a reissue 6128T Jet, I was blown away by every Power Jet we've gotten in. If you think that Gretsches are too "retro" in performance for today's music you haven't played the Power Jet. It could be your main axe.
