Description

SN: 22424. NEW PRICE. Very early (likely January) 1957 Gretsch Chet Atkins 6120 with mostly 1956 features. It is in terrific condition with a transparent red amber (orange) finish with just some light checking and a small bit of corrosion around the pickups. It has the right combination of features and function; humpback inlays, horseshoe inlay on the headstock, Chet Atkins signpost pickguard, the G-brand, DeArmond single coil "Dynasonic" pickups, and the second generation Bigsby with the swinging arm. It has a great big fat warm tone, a very comfortable neck, and perfect setup thanks to a recent neck reset by Mark Tossman. Completely original except for a replaced jack plate. Original case.
