Description

Here is a super rare and highly sought after vintage circa 1966 VOX Guitorgan Guitar Organ. Crazy cool and sounds as cool as it looks.

Similar in shape to the Vox Phantom guitar. Then VOX added an organ to a Phantom guitar! The neck & body of this guitar actually contains much of the guts of a Vox organ as used by The Doors and other greats.

1966 VOX GUITORGAN, manufactured in the U.K. in 1966. A total of about 400 were made. Of that 400, about 1/3 were black. Very few of these still exist today. The first one Vox made went to the JOHN LENNON, the second one went to BRIAN JONES of the Rolling Stones.

This example is MOSTLY fully functional. The electronic organ is working with the exception of the percussion section and it sounds crazy cool. With the percussion section turned on there is no sound and we are not sure why. Aside from the percussion section the organ and guitar tones sound amazing and can be blended with each other to hear both at the same time. The power button on the organ box is permanently on as the switch broke, but it works, it's just always on when you plug it in. The organ tones are not in tune with the guitar right now, we believe it can be tuned but we are not sure how.

Priced accordingly.

Comes with original case, original cables, power and cable from guitar to the power box, as well as several other cables that came with the guitar when we obtained it. We figured we'd just leave them with the guitar.

This Guitorgan is heavy. It is not cheap to ship...but we will do it. Just remember it's not light.
