Description

This is an extremely rare Epiphone Newport Deluxe, made by Gibson in 1961. This is the Epiphone version of the EB-3, functionally they are pretty similar, but the Newport has the coronet style body instead of SG. These are RARE. According to the production totals, only 25 of these were made in 1961, which was the first year they were made. This bass shows lots of play wear, but it remains largely intact and it plays and sounds great. The treble wing on the headstock delaminated and was repaired. This is not a crack - it came apart on the original seam and was repaired. All parts are original. It has been pro-setup and plays great. It comes with the original case in the pictures.
