This is an extremely rare Fender Stratocaster made in 1966 during a brief period that Fender was experimenting with neck binding and blocks for the first time. Ultimately Fender chose to put binding and blocks on just the Jazzmaster and Jaguar models, but their are a few known examples of Stratocasters with bound necks and block markers. This is one such example. This guitar is all original and in very nice shape. It shows some light wear, but really nothing major. It plays very well and sounds excellent. It comes with the original hard shell case, and an appraisal performed by George Gruhn in 1996.
