This is a very unusual Gibson ES-330. It has an "R" factory order number and no serial number which is normal for 1960. The pots date to 1960 as well. But this es-330 has block inlays on the fretboard which didn't start until 1962. The finish is original and the fretboard has never been off. Either this guitar is a 1960 with a "one-off" block inlay fretboard or it was started in 1960 and for some reason not completed until much later. We are pretty sure its the former as any guitar made by Gibson in 1962 would have a serial number but who knows for sure. It is a great playing and sounding guitar. It does have some modifications, the tuners have been changed and it had a bigsby on it at one point. There are no holes in the top, but there are a few by the strap button. The other parts are all original. It comes with a period correct black pebble case.
