This is an original 1964 Rose Morris Model 1993 made in California by Rickenbacker for export to the UK in 1964. Few of these were made, and fewer survived, thanks in part to Pete Townshend for smashing a couple. According to the Rickenbacker book, only 25 of these were made in 1964, and although that book's numbers are not entirely accurate, there is no question that these are extremely rare. This guitar shows considerable cosmetic wear but remains intact and in very good playing condition. There is some light finish touch up work at the neck body joint, possible evidence of an old neck reset, or possibly just to cover chipped finish. It is all original and comes with the original case.
