Welcome to Mod Guitars on G-base!
I am a musician with a passion for vintage guitars who has been playing, collecting and trading them for a long time.
All of my guitars are kept in a climate controlled, non smoking rooms. All sales and communication is done via the internet and through USPS.
I tend to concentrate on mid century modern guitars.
I am a partner in the Retro and Vintage group on antiques.com, our big brother, collectables site: R&V Music and Art.
Many of the guitars that I list have been in my collection for many years. All have been kept in a clean, non smoking, climate controlled home.
All of my items are priced very reasonable and all prices are firm. Many I am selling at a loss. If you want more photos, just ask.
I do not rent guitars nor loan them for music videos. All photos are property of Mod Guitars. I am not liable for listing errors or typo's, so please do your research and examine all photos.
I do not deal on eBay, nor do I accept paypal, so please buy elsewhere if you do not agree with my terms. ALL BUSINESS IS DONE VIA THE INTERNET AND THE US POSTAL SYSTEM. NO EXCEPTIONS. If you cannot understand that please do not waste my time.
You won't see any guitars marked "sold" here. I do not believe in bragging about sales and I know how it feels to finally find a guitar that you wish you had only to see that it is sold.
Messages received asking if the item is still for sale will not be answered. If it is listed, it is for sale. All prices are firm. All shipping quotes are non-negotiable. All items are sold as is.
I do not have time to chit chat or make pen pals. Only inquires stating that you are seriously interested in buying the item will be answered.
Fair warning: Last year I had 11 people commit to buying one of my guitars and not send payment. From now on all dead non payer's names will be listed at beginning of ads.
Please state full name and location when making inquiries if you want an answer.
Law-a-way available, please ask for details.
NOTE: There has been a "glitch" in the G-Base system. All items ship from Connecticut USA.

Because of the delicate nature of electronics and the possibility of parts swapping, all electric guitars are sold as is. I am not one of those people who makes it a habit of dissecting their guitars and photographing their guts: Only in a rare occasion, if the guitar merits it. Acoustic guitars (with the exception of items with the words “as is” in their descriptions or guitars that have had work done on them or have damage) are returnable for credit minus PP&I and restocking fee.. Terms of return for acoustic guitars: Acoustic guitars may be returned for immediate credit towards another guitar of higher price (25%+, excluding marked down prices) plus postage and packing fees (all returns subject to a 15% restocking fee.) PP&I fees are not refundable and guitar must be posted back within 24 business day hours and must be received in the same packaging and in the same condition as sent. Lay-a-way available on higher priced: 50% deposit of total immediately down and balance paid within 30 days or deposit forfeited. No returns on lay-a-ways. Accessories, cases, parts, amps, etc. are non returnable. By purchasing you are agreeing to these terms.
