A standard Stromberg-Voisinet [Kay] banjo with cast one-piece flange. Converted to 5-String by Intermountain Guitar and Banjo [I G & B] around 1984 with a mahogany neck and Brazilian Rosewood fingerboard. 26 1/4" Scale on a 10 14/16" rim with a calf-skin head. This incredible Adirondack top 00 is in just amazing condition, even the original case is in perfect shape. It does have the odd scratch or ding, but basically shows no play wear, the frets look as new. It recently received the prerequisite neck reset and is good to go for another 71 years I would think. This is of the cleanest almost unplayed examples of one of these. But there are several issues that are not obvious to the eye that need to be revealed. An interesting Recording King Deluxe by The King Banjo Co. Laguna Beach, Ca. 4-22-97 by Greg Rich. Banjo built by Crafters of Tennessee. This banjo features the Tennessee 20 Flat-Head tone-ring. Modest Playing wear. Worn Gold-Plating. Some Hand-Engraved parts. Wayverly 2-Band Grover geared pegs.

Superb original condition, the veritable ‘closet queen’. Huge sound, hard to imagine a nicer example, virtually unplayed.

This Roy Smeck Is probably in the unbelievably nice condition that It’s in because the bridge was gone and the bridge plate overly thin and falling off, so apparently the guitar saw very little use. Here we have an extremely rare sharp cut grand concert model out of curly Koa and either Italian or Engelman spruce. It is flawless in every regard, almost unplayed, perfect set up and amazing sound, hard to imagine a nicer example.

I don’t know a great deal about Mosrites, but I do know this much. This came from the estate of a gentleman who had a variety of guitars that were autographed by the famous bands of the 60s and the 70s. It appears as he bought this one, had it autographed at a concert in Park city and put it in the closet. it looks brand new. Shipping $120
