Summary: As the first production model bass guitar, the Fender Precision bass was revolutionary upon its introduction in 1951. This 1976 model is a great player’s example of a classic workhorse guitar.
Body: Solid ash.
Neck: One piece maple neck and fretboard with black dot markers. 34” scale.
Pickups/Hardware: Single replacement split-coil pickup. Original nickel open-back tuners. Original Tele-style bridge. Replacement white pickguard. Replacement black Tele-style knurled volume and tone knobs.
Cosmetics: This bass is in very good shape with a moderate amount of wear along the edges of the body and the back of the neck. A small piece of finish has flaked off the headstock behind the E tuner. There are two small holes on either side of the bridge from the bridge cover, which is no longer with the guitar.
Playability: The chunky full scale neck plays smoothly with no fretting out or dead spots. The action is medium with room to adjust to taste. The split-coil pickup sounds big and punchy with authentic P Bass tone.
Mods/Repairs: The pickup, pickguard and knobs have been replaced. Missing bridge cover.
Weight: 9 lbs, 1 oz.
Case: Non-original case.
