  • Description: 1979 Fender® Stratocaster® 25th Anniversary Model in SILVER in overall good condition, with molded circa 1980s Fender® hardshell case. This Silver 25th Anniversary Strat® has some issues and scars, but it's a cool cool guitar. Features Grover tuners (so there are small screw holes), a repro black 70s style pick guard with Fender® Custom Shop pickups (sound great!), has a couple routed areas in the pickup area under the guard (see photos), newer nut, couple screw holes in the top from a different trem unit, screw holes near the Bullet® truss where a locking nut once was, the Bullet® truss end has been altered (but can still be adjusted), and there is no back trem plate. This 25th Strat® features some nice big frets (may have been a pro refret) that we will dress prior to shipping - but these big fatty frets are great for bends and a thick tone. She has some chips, scratches and dings as you can see in the photos - but she's got a cool Relic® vintage vibe to her - the Silver finish has aged nicely, and somewhat ambered to give it a nice antiqued look. This is a heavy-ish Strat® - good for those heavier tones. Serial number 255xxx. Please feel free to call 859-261-5500 for an in hand description.
