2008 Gibson Les Paul Standard Limited Edition (Guitar Center Exclusive) Silverburst, Excellent, $1,700.00

The Standard Les Paul is perhaps Gibson’s most ubiquitous creation, as instantly recognizable if not more so than a Fender Stratocaster or Telecaster. Though Gibson would sometimes tinker with the formula they would always come back to the classic look and feel of the Standard Paul. This particular example was a Limited Edition run that was exclusively sold by Guitar Center way back in 2008 and sports a gorgeous Silverburst finish on its single –ply bound top with black finished back and sides and a maple cap. The bound slim-taper ‘60s neck mahogany neck features an ebony finger board and pearloid inlays. Dual Burstbucker Pro Classic humbucking pickups give you that classic bridge-position crunch and creamy neck-position sustain that made Les Pauls famous. The Tune-o-matic bridge, stop tailpiece, Gibson Kluson Deluxe tuning machines, and black top hat knobs are all the correct parts for this model. It is in fantastic cosmetic condition with only light scratches and play wear on the back. The top, neck, and headstock are extremely clean. The medium-jumbo frets have essentially no wear and the neck plays nice and smooth. It has been set-up by our in-house guitar tech and plays like a dream with very comfortable action. The body is on the lighter side for a Les Paul, coming in at about 8 lbs 2 ounces.
