  • Description: This '73 Marshall Bass 50W head delivers real plexi tones via its virtually identical as 60's plexi panel counterpart at less than half its cost! A rare Canadian import Bass model, it abundantly oozes real tube warmth & chime, drive, sustain + feedback. The amp's panels are in good condition with no extra holes front & back, front has all its original knobs (except one) and the original tolex looks good as can be seen. Also, one toggle switch, one resistor and a fuse holder have been replaced. What is really great is the circuit is unchanged with no mods whatsoever and all original Daly caps are perfect with no signs of leakage. The print board circuit features all the same mustard caps as its plexi predecessor's and it can be safely said there is no difference in tone between PTP and these earlier 1st year print boards. Transformers which are also exactly the same as plexi era are of course completely original (laydown mains!). This Bass 50 model sounds absolutely incredible, to me just as great as its plexi counterpart, and is guaranteed to surprise its new owner with unreal tone... Personally, the Bass models are some of my favorite Marshalls around for guitar due to their unmistakable depth and note clarity... even more like a 60's plexi panel amp with loads of round bottom end... Besides, wouldn't you rather own a real Marshall for under $1900 delivered than a new boutique clone that is merely a copy of this the real thing?
