  • Description: This circa 1974 Mosrite, Celebrity 1 (1C series), guitar has a body, back and sides as well as a neck made of maple. The two piece body is 16 1/8" wide at the lower bout and 2 3/4" deep with an arched back. It is all original. The top of the guitar is quadruple bound and the back and neck are both single bound. The nitro finish color is a lustrous translucent gold color with the maple grain clearly visible. The rosewood fingerboard has a total of fifteen dot inlays in various number groupings and 22 frets plus an additional zero fret. The width of at the nut is 1 5/8 inches. Other features of this distinctive instrument include: a stock stud insert bridge, tortoise colored celluloid pickguard and jack cover, four metal high profile hat 'M' knobs, Mosrite patented tremolo, Grover Rotomatic tuners, and two Mosrite humbucker pickups. The four knobs control the volume and tone on each of the pickups. A three way switch regulates both pickups. Two unique black push buttons act as bypass switches for tone control on the pickups. The guitar sounds good acoustically as well as electrically. There is light wear and less than expected nicks based on the age of the guitar. There is a very tiny (1/16") crack on the body next to the neck joint. The serial is visible on the bottom of fretboard. There is no paper label inside the body. It comes with a Gator 335 hardshell case - not original.
