1978 Rickenbacker 4001 Mapleglo, Very Good, Hard, $1,750.00

1978 maple-glo Rick 4001 in fantastic shape. Only big issue is a thumb rest that was attached in-between the pickups that was sanded down a bit. There is a ding in the side of the body (bass string side) that goes into the binding. On the back of the body there is a spot of belt rash roughly 1 1/2" long along with some normal play wear such as small finish bubbles and light scratches. It is missing one screw in the pick guard. There is a modification where a previous owner had removed the pickup selector switch and replaced it with a screw. The larger horn on the body has a few small finish dings. A black plastic aftermarket strap button has been added right at the base of the neck. There's good reason these Ricks are so sought after. Strap it on and let loose your inner Lemmy. Comes with Rickenbacker blue-lined black hard shell case (missing handle).
