Offered is this incredible OM-42 style masterpiece built by Roy McAlister. Some of you may not have heard of this incredibly talented craftsman, but Roy's clients include the likes of David Crosby, Graham Nash, Jackson Browne, Marc Cohn and many others. Roy has been building high-end guitars for most of three decades, including a period of several years building for Santa Cruz. His guitars are works of sonic and visual artistry. This particular guitar is from Roy's Vintage Series and is modeled after a Martin OM-42. Built to order in February of 2014 for a studio owner who encountered some tax troubles, this magnificent instrument includes: a top made of mastergrade Adirondack Spruce; back and sides made of mastergrade quartersawn Madagascar Rosewood; a contemporary V-shaped Mahogany neck; an Ebony fretboard with 16" radius, 25.4" scale, 1.75" bone nut, 2 3/16" string spacing, ivoroid binding and Abalone inlays; a bound headstock with Brazilian Rosewood overlay and Torch inlay; and an Ebony bridge with bone saddle and pins. This guitar is simply incredible to see, play and hear. The extremely thin, hand-sprayed finish Roy applies really lets this guitar sing! Please note that as a true OM, Ray has not installed strap pins - this guitar is meant to be played in your lap. This guitar is in near mint condition with virtually no flaws to report and has been played very little. It comes to you in it's original Armeritage premium case. Roy's guitars have a base price of $7,200 and with the upgrades on this guitar, I can't imagine what it would cost to replace. If you are looking for an ultra-high quality OM guitar, please consider this magnificent and nearly new example by Roy McAlister. Just fabulous!
