  • Bio: Capital Guitars is a web-only guitar store based in upstate New York. We seriously love guitars and take significant pride in the instruments we sell, in how well we pack them and in how quickly we ship them. You will not be disappointed!
  • Brands: Fender, Gibson, Suhr, Anderson, Grosh, PRS, Martin, Taylor and other quality manufacturers. If you see it posted on our site, then its available for sale, as we update our inventory promptly.
  • Comments: We are always looking for premium-grade guitars in mint or near-mint condition. If you have something you would like to sell, please email your photos, a description and your price requirements to me and perhaps we can work out a deal! Looking for a layaway arrangement to hold your dream guitar? A 20% non-refundable deposit (to ensure the buyer follows-through) will be required, with the balance due within sixty (60) days. No additional finance charge! We will also consider selling your guitar for you via a consignment arrangement; contact us via email for further details.
  • Policies:
    • Payment: Capital Guitars accepts payment via Mastercard, VISA, Discover, Paypal, USPS Money Order, wire transfer, or via bank check. Guitars do not ship until payment clears. Shipments to locations within the State of New York are subject to imposition of applicable New York Sales taxes. Trade proposals involving quality gear are welcomed! Email me a pic or two of your proposed trade and a brief description of its condition and we will let you know what we can allow you in trade. We also do LAYAWAYS! All layaways require a non-refundable up-front payment equal to 20% of the purchase price. Your deposit holds the guitar for you, with 60 days to pay the balance.     • Shipping: Shipping is to confirmed CONUS addresses only via UPS Ground fully insured. Flat rate shipping of $30 to Eastern time zones, $40 Central and $50 Mountain/Pacific. A phone number at the shipping destination is required. Shipping to locations outside the continental US is at the seller's discretion and will be priced on a case-by-case basis. I ship promptly following reciept of cleared payment - typically within one business day.
    • Returns: Items may be returned for a refund of the purchase less the original shipping cost and a 15% restocking fee if you notify me within 24 hours of receipt. Items must be returned at the buyer's expense, in the same condition received and must include all accessories and/or paperwork initially included. Sorry, but returns are time consuming and costly, particularly for a small operation like ours.
