1943 1940's VEGA Electric D-100 sunburst , Excellent, Original Hard, $1,150.00
. a VERY rare find. one of the very few and very first electric mandolins. Made by Vega in Boston. One owner, who cared for it very well. Original brown hard case. plays with excellent low action. Very nice light red/brown burst finish and has the 'cylinder back' Florentine shaped body. There is some natural checking on the neck but no 'flaking off of the finish. The pickup is strong and well balanced. It all works perfect. The input Jack 'may' have been changed over to a regular phone jack. if so , it was done very professionally. . . It's acoustical sound is sweet and warm. With the pickup , the sky is the limit. In true 'collectors' condition and priced very low for this kind of thing.
