Part of the iconic Ampeg "VT" series, the GU-12 was a smaller counterpart to the larger amps released at the same time. Finding favor with the Rolling Stones as a backstage amp and even in the basement at Nellcotte while recording Exile On Main Street, the GU-12 perfectly captures the early 70's Stones guitar tone. This is easily the cleanest example we've seen, with virtually no staining on the blue grill cloth. The single 12" speaker, lush reverb and trem make this an exceptionally versatile amp and a great alternative to the Fender Princeton Reverb. A replacement speaker ensures this amp is ready for many years of use; perfect in a studio setting or even small gigs. A must have for anyone looking for that Stones sound without the volume and large footprint of a V-2 or SVT.
