This is a very rare, hard to find Bigsby, with the "stop" mechanism on the handle. Most Bigsby's have the stop on the base of the spring area, not on the handle. This is correct for a 1957 Gretsch 6120, and other guitars of that era. This includes an "impressed" patent #, which is also a very rare feature. Both of these features combined make this a unique and rare example. Lots of pics for all the details. NOTE: I have "retouched" the photos to blank out the last 4 digits of the prior owners SS #. There are four more digits inscribed on the tailpiece. Correct bearings, Single Slot handle screw. You can really see the wax casting impressions on the black painted area on this one. This has the prior owners serial # inscribed on the base.
