Description

SN: 57280. Early 1934 OM-18 stamped 000-18. These are long scale instruments that represent the last of the OMs, pre- short scale and T-frets. Beautiful sounding and playing instruments; truly balanced tone with rich overtones throughout. New bar frets and forgery quality repro bridge by Mark Tossman. Additional setup work by Gary Wagner. Fine example architecturally. No cracks, adi spruce top, ebony bridge and fretboard, original tuners, 100% original finish. Comes with a newer hardshell Martin case. Book value is $18-22.5K. Frankly, these are all over the place price-wise. This one, at $17,500 represents, I think, fair value with future upside. As a player, it will surprise and delight.
