When I acquired this D-28 it appeared as if it may have been ignored for some time, as the strings were totally dead and there was some loose binding, and it desperately needed a good set up. I have since reglued the loose binding and done the set up and also cleaned it up overall (the finish was a little cruddy, needed a good cleaning) and it is ready for a new home. The guitar also looks like it has had a top center seam separation repaired at some point, the repair is a pro job and tight/level/closed and cosmetically very good. The back, sides and top care crack free. The top shows some finish crazing though the back and sides have none. There's virtually no fret wear an no finish wear save a few minor nicks and dings. The neck is straight under tension of medium gauge strings and the action is set at 7/64" at the low E at the 12th fret and 6/64" at the high E with a solid 1/8" of saddle showing above the bridge. The truss rod functions perfectly. The guitar has the big voice that the D-28 is known for, plenty of bass with good midrange and treble clarity. Comes with the original Martin 600 series molded thermoplastic hardshell case and all of the original paperwork. $1900

If an item is going to be returned it is at the buyer's expense and the item must be shipped within 24 hours of the buyer notifying Kovacik Guitars of intent to return. Any returned items must be shipped in the original packaging and MUST be fully insured when returned. Once an item is returned to Kovacik Guitars and judged to be in the same condition as when originally sold a full refund will be issued.
