Description

SN:115295. Friends, here is an old bluegrass warhorse that is as straight and original as they come with plenty of honest playwear and mojo galore. With a recent refret and neck reset by Mark Tossman, it may play as well or better than the day it shipped some 72 years ago. The Brazilian rosewood is of the straight grain variety that Martin prized in the prewar period. The Sitka top has the aged dark patina with lots of fine checking and playwear. All looks original; finish, bridge, tuners, nut even the pins with the exception of the new frets and saddle. Inside, the sound chamber looks age appropriate and original with all braces and bridge plate intact. The geometry is dead on. The sonic presence is strong with lots of cut and projection. Comes with a later hard shell case that has absorbed whatever the musical journey threw at it.
