2017 Collings 001 MH 12-Fret, Short Scale
Every acoustic guitar collection needs at least one all-Mahogany instrument. Nothing can match a Mahogany guitar for smooth, warm tone. To address this need, offered is this sweet Collings 001 MH. Built in 2017, this guitar is in MINT, as new condition.
This is a 12-fret, 00-sized guitar with a short (24-7/8") string scale. The top, back, sides and neck are all built of beautiful Honduran Mahogany. It has tortise bindings, black/white/black/white top purfling, a simple and elegant black/white rosette, an Ebony fretboard and pyramid bridge, bone nut and drop-in saddle, an Ebony headstock overlay and Waverly tuners. The nut width is 1-13/16" and the string spacing at the saddle is 2-5/16". The modified V-shaped neck has depth measurements of .85" at the 1st fret and .94" at the 9th fret and the guitar is perfectly setup with a new set of Elixir lights and 12th fret string heights of 5/64" on the low E side and 4/64" on the high E side.
This 00-1 MH is definitely a "comfort food" guitar. The tone is rich, warm and luscious! It is a lively guitar too. Dig in with your fingers or flatpick and this baby responds with superb note definition and more headroom than a guitar of this size should be able to produce. Please check out the brief sound sample and video provided and I think you will concur! It is an intimate instrument that is extremely comfortable to play.
This beautiful guitar is in mint, unplayed condition. Except for the absence of a factory warranty, which I cannot offer because I am not an authorized dealer, this guitar comes to you as it left Collings' Austin, Texas factory. It comes in it's similarly mint Collings/TKL case.

Shipments to locations within the State of New York are subject to imposition of applicable New York Sales taxes. Trade proposals involving quality gear are welcomed! Email me a pic or two of your proposed trade and a brief description of its condition and we will let you know what we can allow you in trade. We also do LAYAWAYS! All layaways require a non-refundable up-front payment equal to 20% of the purchase price. Your deposit holds the guitar for you, with 60 days to pay the balance. Shipping to Continental US addresses is via FedEx Ground, with flat rate shipping of $60 to Eastern time zones, $70 Central and $80 Mountain/Pacific. Shipping to Alaska and Hawaii is $100. A phone number at the shipping destination is required. Other shipping services, including express services and international shipping are available at our discretion, just contact us for a quote.
Refunds of the original purchase price less shipping and a 10% restocking fee may be requested within 48 hours of delivery. Exchanges within one (1) week of the original date of purchase may be made for an item of equal or greater value at the discretion of Capital Guitars. Where permitted herein, items must be promptly returned at the buyer's expense, in the same condition as received with all accessories and paperwork included. Sale items, purchases that are made via layaway, those involving trades and/or international shipping are considered final except upon an error by and at the discretion of Capital Guitars. All deposits are non-returnable. Our apologies, but we are a very small operation and returns are extremely time consuming and costly.
