We certainly qualify as "guitar snobs" here at Capital Guitars and tend to prefer and stock the more expensive guitar lines, but that doesn't mean that we don't appreciate a great value in a lesser priced instrument. Offered here is a great guitar at a great price, a Larrivee Bakersfield, built in California in 2013. Larrivee is a Canadian builder known primarily for their acoustic guitars,...

Offered for your consideration is this fabulous 000-size cutaway instrument by Preston Thompson Guitars of Sisters, Oregon. Thompson and his small team build extremely high quality, vintage style guitars in very small quantities and their work is exquisite. Calling this a "basic"...

2014 MJ Franks OMS 14-Fret, 25.4" Scale, 1-11/16" Nut, Adirondack, EIR

Michael Franks is a real renaissance man. He is a skilled engineer, wood craftsman, pilot, outdoorsman, antique instrument restorer, in-lay artist, luthier and family man. He builds just ten or so guitars annually at his shop in Michigan. While this is only my second MJ Franks-built guitar, I am already a great fan of his work and invest in his instruments whenever the (rare) opportunity...

$5,499
Offered here is 000-12 Vintage number 2178 built by John Greven in 2012. It has a Lutz Spruce top and back and sides made of Brazilian Rosewood. John tells me that he has made only six 000-12 fret guitars over the years and of these, only three were made with Brazilian, so this is a rare instrument. Their new Strat-style guitar notwithstanding, offered here is an instrument which continues to be one of the most popular models PRS has released in quite a while, the McCarty 594. The 594 is named for it's unique string scale, 24.594", making the scale length of this model just under a 10th of an inch longer than the McCarty's typical 24.5".
