The City Limits is Collings' version of the venerable Les Paul, but with a build quality that is far higher than you will get from Gibson these days. This is the full-blown Deluxe model City Limits built at the end of 2013. It specs include: a mahogany body and neck with upgraded quilted maple top and a total guitar weight of just 7.8 pounds; a high gloss nitrocellulose crimson finish; a Madagascar rosewood fretboard with 24-7/8" scale length, 12" radius, 1-11/16" bone nut and medium frets; a medium/fat "C" shape neck similar to a '59 LP; long mortise/tenon neck joint; fully-adjustable truss rod; grained ivroid binding on the top, neck and headstock; ebony headstock overlay with inlaid logo; MOP parallelogram fretboard inlays; ivoroid pickup rings and top hat knobs; Lollar Imperial humbuckers with CTS pots and Xicon caps; Tonepros AVR-II bridge and tailpiece; Gotoh SG301 tuners with vintage style buttons; and a deluxe hardshell case by Ameritage. This guitar plays with incredible ease and sounds fabulous - much like an LP only better! If this gorgeous guitar has been played, there certainly isn't any cosmetic evidence of it - this guitar is in mint/near mint condition and could be sold as new, frets included. Shipments to locations within the State of New York are subject to imposition of applicable New York Sales taxes. Trade proposals involving quality gear are welcomed! Shipping to Continental US addresses is via FedEx Ground, with flat rate shipping of $60 to Eastern time zones, $70 Central and $80 Mountain/Pacific. Shipping to Alaska and Hawaii is $100. Refunds of the original purchase price less shipping and a 10% restocking fee may be requested within 48 hours of delivery. Exchanges within one (1) week of the original date of purchase may be made for an item of equal or greater value at the discretion of Capital Guitars. Where permitted herein, items must be promptly returned at the buyer's expense, in the same condition as received with all accessories and paperwork included. Sale items, purchases that are made via layaway, those involving trades and/or international shipping are considered final except upon an error by and at the discretion of Capital Guitars.
