The “Baaa" in its name means triple-A grade Brazilian; the “G" indicates German spruce, an unbeatable combination for clarity and power. For those of you new to Collings details then and now, their 3H grade guitars of the day had herringbone trim; Ivoroid bindings on body, neck, and fingerboard; beautiful, understated mother-of-pearl diamond-and-square fingerboard inlays; a lovely little fillip inlaid into the peghead in abalone; and, by our request on this particular Collings, those fabulous, best-in-the-world Amertican-made Waverly tuners.
