2008 Collings I-35 Deluxe Ice Tea Sunburst
Offered is yet another, fabulous Collings I-35 Deluxe for your consideration. The I-35 is perhaps the very best semi-hollow electric guitar made. This Ice Tea Sunburst beauty was completed in 2008 and remains in near mint condition.
The I-35 Deluxe is at the top of the model range. It has a solid (not laminated) premium flamed Maple top with binding and optional purfling over a semi-hollow Mahogany body. This one has an Alder center block instead of the usual Maple. The neck is Collings medium/fat C-shape, measuring .865" at the first fret, increasing to .985" at the twelfth fret. Collings' own records on this instrument are inconclusive as to whether this fingerboard is Brazilian Rosewood or Madagascar Rosewood. Either way, it is gorgeous and it features upgraded MOP parallelogram inlays. The bone nut has a width of 1-11/16", the fretboard radius is 12". The pickups are Lollar Low Wind Imperials which sound superb in this guitar. The guitar weighs an incredibly light 6.2 pounds!
These I-35's are a joy to look at, play and listen to. I don't know how Collings does it, but each of their I-35 models plays like it was carved from a single block of wood. This guitar in particular is light and resonant, with a voice that puts any ES-335 to shame (IMHO). Please check out the brief sound sample included herein. This guitar has been a case queen. While completed in early 2008, it remains in near mint condition with no significant flaws. You will need much better eyes than mine to find any sign of wear and the frets are spotless as well. It comes in its original TKL case, also in very fine condition.
A new I-35 Deluxe with the specs on this guitar will cost you well over $7K these days. Get this near mint 2008 example (perhaps with Brazilian Rosewood) and in near new condition for thousands less. Just a marvelous semi-hollow electric ready to please for years to come. An exemplary semi-hollow electric. Make it yours!

Shipping to Continental US addresses is via FedEx Ground, with flat rate shipping of $60 to Eastern time zones, $70 Central and $80 Mountain/Pacific. Shipping to Alaska and Hawaii is $100. Refunds of the original purchase price less shipping and a 10% restocking fee may be requested within 48 hours of delivery. Exchanges within one (1) week of the original date of purchase may be made for an item of equal or greater value at the discretion of Capital Guitars. Where permitted herein, items must be promptly returned at the buyer's expense, in the same condition as received with all accessories and paperwork included. Sale items, purchases that are made via layaway, those involving trades and/or international shipping are considered final except upon an error by and at the discretion of Capital Guitars.
