2016 Collings I-35 Deluxe with ThroBaks Dark Cherry Burst
Offered is this 2016 Collings I-35 Deluxe in Dark Cherry nitro lacquer and with ThroBak pickups. If you have been lusting for a premium semi-hollow electric, your search has ended with this guitar.
The I-35 Deluxe model has a solid (as opposed to laminated) carved Maple top with fancy purfling and grained ivoroid binding throughout. This one received a premium-grade top with very unique figuring. The neck is Collings medium/fat C-shape, measuring .845" at the first fret, increasing to .980" at the twelfth fret. The fretboard is Indian Rosewood (that is figured like Madagascar) with fancy parallelogram inlays and binding. The bone nut has a width of 1-11/16" and the fretboard radius is 12." This guitar is incredibly light, weighing just 6 pounds, 9 ounces! The electronics include the optional ThroBak SLE-101 Plus humbuckers with a traditional 50's style controls (2 vol/2 tone/3 way). The bridge and tailpiece are nickel-plated Klusons.
The build quality, playability and tone of this I-35 is about the best there is in a semi-hollow electric. Please check out the brief sound sample provided. These ThroBaks make a great guitar sound even better. And this guitar is so easy to play it should be illegal!
This guitar is in fabulous condition. I could call it mint except for one tiny impression on the back which I nearly overlooked (see photo). Aside from this tiny (1/8") flaw, this guitar could likely pass for new and the frets are flawless. It comes in it's original Collings/Ameritage case, also in superb condition, along with the original paperwork and cleaning cloth.
A new example of this instrument with the ThroBak pickups will cost you approximately $6.5K these days. Get this nearly new 2016 example for a bunch less. Make this luscious Collings yours. What a great holiday gift to yourself or for someone you love!

Shipping to Continental US addresses is via FedEx Ground, with flat rate shipping of $60 to Eastern time zones, $70 Central and $80 Mountain/Pacific. Shipping to Alaska and Hawaii is $100. Refunds of the original purchase price less shipping and a 10% restocking fee may be requested within 48 hours of delivery. Exchanges within one (1) week of the original date of purchase may be made for an item of equal or greater value at the discretion of Capital Guitars. Where permitted herein, items must be promptly returned at the buyer's expense, in the same condition as received with all accessories and paperwork included.
