2016 Collings OM2HG German Spruce Top, 1.75" Nut, Near Mint
Offered here is this superb and near mint Collings OM2HG built in 2016. If you are looking for an extremely high quality OM-size guitar with clarity, shimmer and punch, and one that is in near new condition, then this might be the instrument for you.
This OM2HG is a 25-1/2" scale, 14-fret instrument. This example has a 1.75" bone nut with 2-3/16" string spacing. It also has an upgraded (and magnificent) German Sruce top mated with beautifully straight-grained East Indian rosewood back and sides. It is supported by Collings' pre-war style scalloped X bracing. The Honduran Mahogany neck is a modified V-shape with depth measurements of .85" at the first fret and .94" at the ninth. The Ebony fretboard has a 14"-26" compound radius with abalone inlays. Other cosmetics include ivoroid and herringbone trim, a stained Ebony headstock overlay and a 2-style zipper backstrip. The tuners are nickel Waverlys with 16:1 ratios.
The playability of this guitar is superb and it is setup perfectly with with 12th fret string heights of 6/64" on the low E side and 4/64" on the high E side. Whether you play fingerstyle or with a pick, use a capo or alternate tunings, this guitar responds with a clear voice with no intonation issues or drop off in volume. As for condition, this guitar is in near mint condition and could likely pass for new. I cannot find any flaws and the frets show no observable wear. Even the pickguard is super clean! It comes in its original Collings/TKL case, also in near mint condition. Based on my experience, "used" acoustics do not come in much nicer condition that this beauty.
A new Collings with these options will cost you $5K, but save a bundle with this magnificent 2016 example in as new condition. This is a super deal on a fabulous acoustic guitar. Make it yours before someone beats you to it!

Refunds of the original purchase price less shipping and a 10% restocking fee may be requested within 48 hours of delivery.
