Danelectro Dead on 67 Satin Tangerine with Hardshell Case

Summary: The "Dead-On '67" electric guitar from Danelectro is an authentic reissue of the 1967 Hornet with a satin finish, nickel hardware, a truss rod that adjusts at the headstock, the original swivel rosewood bridge that intonates, and souped-up lipstick pickups that are hum-canceling when both are on. The "Dead-On '67" guitar also features the original Danelectro vibrato, multi-ply translucent pickguard and tons of playability and tone.

Body: It has a lightweight, resonant basswood body finished in satin tangerine.

Neck: It has a thin C shaped satin feeling neck that is also finished in tangerine. It features 21 frets, a rosewood fingerboard, 14” fretboard radius, Kluson style tuners with white buttons, aluminum nut with a nut width of 1.75” and a 24.75” scale length.

Pickups/Hardware: The pickups are modernized “souped up” lipstick pickups that still carry than vintage jangle and bite of the originals. It also has 2 volumes, 2 tones, 3 way toggle, metal bridge with a rosewood saddle and simple yet smooth functioning vibrato unit all mounted to a metal control panel.

Cosmetics: This guitar has a very small amount of buckle rash and some of the writing on the control panel has worn off. Overall it’s in amazing condition with no major dings or scratches and the frets are in almost pristine shape with tons of life left in them.

Playability: This Danelectro is such a blast to play. It has just been set up and restrung with a new set of 10 gauge strings by our in house guitar tech. It has a nice smooth, slim neck and with the 14” radius to the fretboard and is an effortless guitar to play for almost any style. It has a nice jangly sound, tons of sustain and an all-around unique vibe.
