Legendary luthier, Jimmy D’Aquisto was known for his innovation of the Archtop guitar, but he did also make 16 flat tops from 1973 to 1984, denoted with serial numbers 101-116, and here we have the very first flat top SN: 101 that was started in late 1973 and finished in early 1974. This beauty was handcrafted with a spruce top, flamed maple back, sides and neck, ebony offset bridge and fingerboard. Originally born without a pickguard, we made a stylistically matching piece to cover some wear around the iconic D’Aquisto oval sound hole.
