The guitar was recently brought to us to offer for sale. For anybody that has read the sparse history on these guitars knows that there were a few very notable guitar players who ended up with these incredible instruments. Those being Gram Parsons and Eric Clapton. Both of which guitars sold at auction for extraordinary prices in recent years.
This guitar is considered extremely rare, it unknown how many guitars David Russell Young produced but this is Number 26.

David Russell Young made many fine guitars in California in the 1960s and 1970s. He was a very sought after guitar maker and many celebrities purchased his guitars including Carly Simon, Merle Haggard, Keith Richards, John Prine, Eric Clapton (Clapton's sold for 31K at a Christie's auction) and most notably Gram Parsons who's David Russell Young guitar sold recently at auction for $125,000,00.
He made his guitars with the finest materials. He also wrote the book.... "The Steel String Guitar , Construction And Repair" which is considered required reading for modern luthiers.

This classical was made in 1968 and was the 26th guitar that David Russell Young produced. It's made from old growth Brazilian rosewood with a German spruce top and mahogany neck.

Comes complete with Original Hardshell case.
