2009 Eastman AR910 CE Classic, Excellent, Original Hard, $1,900.00

Eastman has been churning out exceptional archtop jazz boxes and this single Venetian cutaway hollowbody AR910CE is no exception! It features their “Classic” finish, which has a reddish/brown colouring with gorgeously accented hand-carved spruce grain in the top. The hand-carved maple back and sides have a nice flame to them. Both the neck and body are augmented by striking figured maple binding and an ebony pickguard. The maple neck sports an ebony fingerboard with 22 nickel-silver frets and a compensated ebony bridge with gold and ebony Trapeze-styled tailpiece. The neck measures 1 ¾” at the nut and has a 25” scale length. The AR910 has a wonderfully full-bodied tonality thanks to the select tonewoods used in its construction plus the neck-positioned floating gold-cover Kent Armstrong pickup. It is an excellent guitar for jazz but still has enough versatility to handle other genres. This guitar is in immaculate cosmetic condition. The previous owner obviously took great care in making sure it kept its showroom sheen! There are a couple very minor scratches in the back of the headstock but otherwise it looks almost untouched. It has been set-up by our in-house guitar tech for optimal playability and intonation and is currently strung up with Thomastik flat-wound Jazz/Swing 11s. Despite its large body (17” x 3 1/8”) it is very lightweight, coming in at just about 5 ½ lbs. Eastman has gotten a name for making high-end yet affordable jazz guitars such as this AR910CE.
