1996 Epiphone Riviera Black

Summary: This Epiphone Riviera was built in 1996 at the “Peerless” Korean factory that was known for high-quality, Gibson-like guitars. This wonderful Riviera is black with the original pickups, hardware, pickguard & truss rod cover! This instrument also ships with the original hard-shell Epiphone case!

Body: Semi-hollowbody Epiphone Riviera with a stunning black finish & the original white pickguard.

Neck: Mahogany neck with a fully bound rosewood fingerboard, pearloid parallelogram block inlays, 1 9/16” nut width, 24.75” scale length, original Kluson style tuning keys, 22 frets. The frets are in great shape & have lots of life left in them.

Pickups/Hardware: Chrome hardware, 2 humbucker pickups, 2 volume knobs, 2 tone knobs, 3-way switch, original Kluson style vintage tuning keys with chrome buttons, Dual Trapeze tailpiece, pearloid headstock inlays.

Cosmetics: This instrument is in good condition with normal signs of wear such as pick scratches on the pickguard, light swirls in the finish, a few nicks & dings on the body. There is one long scratch on the back near the upper horn that is over an inch long & there is noticeable wear around the edges of this instrument. All the wear is consistent with a well-played but loved electric guitar with more than 20 years of age behind it.

Playability: This Epiphone has recently been set up with a new set of 10’s. The truss rod is fully functional, the action is low & the guitar plays great up & down the fully bound fingerboard.
