2014 Epiphone WildKat Wine Red

Summary: The Wildkat was introduced as a somewhat Gretsch-like hollowbody, with two dog eared P-90 pickups and a tremolo tailpiece. This guitar has been produced in a number of limited edition finishes. This particular guitar is a LTD edition WildKat in Wine Red with a beautiful flamed maple top. We put a new set of strings on this guitar & it plays and sounds great! A modern classic in a Wine Red finish!

Body: Semi-hollow body, single cutaway with 2 f-holes. The top & the f-holes are fully bound. From Epiphone: “The Wildkat features a solid Mahogany body that is computer-routed to create a perfectly tuned acoustic guitar-like body but with a “center block” just like Sheraton II or ES-335. The combination gives the Wildkat that round “archtop” tone with the incredible sustain of a solid body guitar. The Wildkat’s top is made from laminated Flame Maple with a stunning Wine Red finish for a semi-hollow body masterpiece you can only get from Epiphone”

Neck: Fully bound Hard Maple neck with a rosewood fingerboard, dot inlays, 22 frets, 1.68” nut width, 12” radius, 24.75” scale length, Grover tuning keys.

Cosmetics: This instrument is used and it does show signs of wear like small scratches & a few minor dings on the body but overall it was loved & well-taken care of.

Playability: This Epiphone was recently set up with a new set of 10’s and fully adjusted so the action is low & the guitar plays great up & down the fingerboard. The rosewood fingerboard feels smooth & the Bigsby Tremolo has wonderful action!
