Description

Perhaps the most underrated guitar on earth. Folks fall over themselves for 68 Les Paul Goldtops at three times the price and twice the weight. The Epiphone Wilshire, along with the 68/69 LP Standard, are the only guitars made by Gibson in the 60's with P90's and an ABR-1/stoptail configuration. SG Special? Nope. Wraptail. LP Special double cut? Nope. Wraptail again. The Wilshire weighs 5 lbs 13 ounces. Compare that to the average 68 goldtop at 10 lbs. Better fret access than the Les Paul, too. So, at half the weight (almost), what else do I need to say? Oh yeah, a third the price. Neck profile is medium slim and wide. This guitar is all original except for the stop tail which is a good lightweight repro. The studs are original (as is the bridge, tuners, all plastic, pickups and harness). It's pretty well faded but is probably 8/10 condition. Plays great and sound wonderful. Case is the cheap cardboard case that many 60's Epiphones came in. It is probably mid 60's and is not original.
