Description

This came in a couple years ago, and it was love at first sight. The body is more of a dead on TBird than a Phoenix, 80's style headstock, pretty clean, virtually no fret wear, and a stellar color that every one who sees it fall in love. Square hard case that fits the bass well, and was told it was the original case. Light wear on the back, a few small dings here and there. The pots are CTS, and don't have the usual137datecode on them- I get 38950 (38th week 1995?) and 1116, and the previous owner had it way before I sold it in 2015 the the last guy so not 2016. I also find reference online to where 38950 is a Fender part number for a 500K split shaft CTS pot. No serial number I can find anywhere. Trying to research this bass online, well, all that pops up is this bass, so I'm wanting to say it's a one off kinda thing, custom ordered. Two DiMarzio double blade pickups, 2 volume and 2 tones. No truss rod cover, doesn't appear to have ever had one- no screw holes for a truss rod cover, not even one at the top. The guy we got it from years ago told us it was an 80's ESP 48th street, just says Custom on the headstock, plays like a million bucks. This has to be the ultimate rocker bass. I'd welcome any input! Thanks for looking.
