2018 Fender 60's Relic (1960 reissue) Lake Placid Blue

Summary: This Fender Custom shop Relic evokes the 60s work horse, gigged and tattered Telecaster, in all its historic glory. The Lake Placid Blue finish is checked and battered in all the right places and has a beautiful sustaining ring to it when played acoustically. The ’63 style pickups the Custom Shop winds for these 60s style guitars are among some of our favorites here at the shop and this one really has that highly regarded tele sound! It is in excellent used condition and looks as it did when it left the Fender Custom Shop. It has just been professionally set up and restrung by our in house luthier and ships in its original G and G hard-shell case with orange interior, COA, spec sheet and Custom Shop strap, bridge cover and Custom Shop goodies!

Body: The alder body has a reliced Lake Placid Blue finish with lots of wear around the edges, finish checking, and various chips and dings. It is topped with a 4 ply tortoise guard.

Neck: It has a 60s style oval C shape figured maple neck with a round laminated rosewood fretboard, white dots, 9.5” fretboard radius, 1.65” nut width and 25.5” scale length.

Pickups/Hardware: It has dynamite sounding Custom Shop ’63 pickups, slightly reliced nickel hardware, 3 threaded steel saddle bridge, 3 way switch, 1 volume, 1 tone, knurled knobs and vintage style nickel tuning keys.

Cosmetics: This Tele features a lot of factory done distressing, there are various chips and dings around the edges of the headstock and body, some wear through the finish around the edges of the fretboard, finish checking on the body and wear through the finish around the body edges but nothing that impedes playability, all wear is purely cosmetic.

Playability: Our in house luthier has just inspected, set up and restrung this guitar with a new set of 10s and it is playing beautifully with low action and a straight neck. The frets are in great shape with no grooves or divots.
