Summary: Vintage looks and modern playability make this Custom Shop ’63 Relic Telecaster a truly remarkable instrument. It has just right amount of tasteful relicing in its Lake Placid Blue nitrocellulose finish, a modern 9.5” radius rosewood fingerboard and superb sounding ’63 Custom Shop pickups. It has just been setup and restrung by our in-house guitar tech and ships in its original hard-shell case with COA and case candy.
Body: Solid alder body telecaster with reliced lake placid blue finish and 3 ply mint guard.
Neck: The maple neck has a great broken in feel with its finish slightly worn off fiish & rolled fingerboard edges, This Telecaster has a 9.5” radius, veneer rosewood fingerboard and bone nut.
Pickups/Hardware: Custom Shop ’63 Tele pickups, volume, tone, vintage style tuners, 3 brass saddles
(original steel saddles are in the case), 3-way switch and bone nut.
Cosmetics: Natural wear & a professional relic job from the Fender Custom shop.
Playability: When Fender makes them this great it is hard to find any flaws in the playability. We put a new set of 10’s on this Telecaster & the action is low, the fingerboard feels great, the frets are in good condition with only minor wear & the guitar plays nicely up & down the fingerboard.
Modifications: - brass saddles are mounted but the original steel saddles are included in the case.
