2011 Fender American Special

Summary: The American Special Stratocaster puts U.S.-made Fender quality into the hands of players at any level. For the guitarist who wants a combination of timeless Fender style and contemporary features, this guitar delivers traditional Strat design with some extra elements for modern tone and performance, including Texas Special pickups and special circuitry, modern neck profile and fingerboard radius, and more. Great sounding, great looking and feeling, and made in the United States. Includes aftermarket hardshell case.

Body: The body is solid alder finished in gloss candy apple red with a 3-ply w/b/w pickguard.

Neck: The neck has a modern C profile. It’s one piece maple with large ‘70s style headstock, 22 jumbo frets, 9.5” radius, 1.675” nut width, 25.5” scale length and black dots.

Pickups/Hardware: This Strat comes equipped with three Fender Texas Special Single Coils 1 volume 2 tones and Greasebucket tone circuit.

Cosmetics: This Strat looks amazing with its sparkling candy apple red finish. There are no major dings dents or scratches in the finish or on the neck. Just a very minor scuff or two but this guitar is in almost pristine shape. The frets have a small amount of wear but they are still very tall and have tons of life left in them.

Playability: This guitar was just set up by our in-house luthier and strung up with a new set of 10s. The action is low, the neck is straight and it plays beautifully up and down the fretboard.

Weight: 7lbs, 15oz.

Case: This wonderfull Stratocaster ships in an aftermarket hardshell case.
