Summary: The American Vintage Series pays tribute to certain guitars from landmark years in Fender's history; thus, the Fender American Vintage '62 Jaguar is built to the specs of that year. The Jaguar was first produced in 1962, so this is a particularly landmark year for the instrument and the American Vintage '62 Jaguar is consequently sporting specs from the Jag's first year of production. The short scale neck, the two single-coil pickups with the distinctive Lead and Rhythm Circuitry, and the obviously Jaguar-like offset body are all a part of the Fender American Vintage '62 Jaguar.

Body: Solid alder body with a beautiful Surf Green Nitrocellulose Lacquer Finish

Neck: Maple neck with a “C” shape, rosewood fingerboard, dot inlays, 22 frets, Fender®/Gotoh® Vintage Style Tuning Machines, 7.25” radius, 1.65” nut width, 24” scale length.

Pickups/Hardware: 2 Special Design American Vintage Jaguar Single-Coil Pickups (Neck & Bridge), 2-On/Off Slide Switches, One for Each Pickup.
“Lead” Circuit: 2-Position Tone Switch, Volume, Tone,
“Rhythm” Circuit: Volume, Tone, Circuit Selector Switch

Cosmetics: This instrument has been well-loved & doesn’t show a lot of wear. There are pick scratches on the pickguard & I found one ding on the back lower bout but overall it is in very good shape.

Playability: This is a fine playing & great sounding Jaguar. We set it up with a new set of 10’s and the action is low & the guitar plays great up & down the fingerboard. The frets are in great shape & have a ton of life left in them.

Modifications: This instrument has a replacement bridge & saddle but the original parts are included in the case.

Weight: 8 lbs, 3 oz.

Case: This wonderful Jaguar comes with the original vintage style brown tolex hardshell case, original whammy bar, some paperwork & the original bridge that has been replaced.
