Summary: The “Blackie” is one of Fenders most enduring & acclaimed signature series guitars of all time – The Eric Clapton signature guitar entails a classic design with special features & true Fender tone. This instrument doesn’t include the original hardshell case but we will ship it in a gig bag!

Body: Solid alder body double cutaway electric guitar.

Neck: Maple neck with a maple fingerboard, dot inlays, 22 frets, Fender locking tuning keys. The scale length is 25.5” and the nut width is 1 11/16”. The frets are in great shape and have a ton of life left in them.

Pickups/Hardware: This Blackie has 3 Noiseless single coil pickups, 5-way switch, chrome hardware, dot inlays, Fender tremolo system with the whammy bar.

Cosmetics: This Fender strat is in great shape – I didn’t find any nicks or dings – the closest thing to visible wear on this guitar is light finish swirls but that only shows up when you hold the guitar up to the lights. Overall I’d say this guitar is in very good condition. You can see the holes that have been filled after the vintage style tuning keys were replaced with newer locking Fender tuning keys, otherwise this baby is very clean.

Playability: This “Blackie” is a great playing Strat – we set this guitar up with 10’s and it plays with no buzzing & no dead spots up and down the neck.

Modifications: The original vintage style tuning keys have been replaced with Fender locking tuning keys. You can see where the old holes have been filled but it all looks great and it makes this guitar stay in better tune & it is easier to change strings on this Blackie!

Case: No case with this Blackie but we will include a gig bag and this guitar does come with the whammy bar.
