Description

Throughout Fender's storied history, there have been several periods that one could argue were their best. If you are a 1950's fan, you might say that those '50s guitars were the best that Fender ever produced while a '60s guy might argue that his '63 Strat is the complete bombaroonie. I, instead will make the argument that the Cunetto Relics produced between 1995 and 1999 were some of the finest guitars Fender ever produced.

From its highly-figured Maple neck to the very manageable weight of only 8 lbs, 2 oz, this limited edition 50th Anniversary Diamond Dealer Strat unveils its quality from the moment you strap it across your shoulders. The Aztec gold color is deep and rich, covered by a thin lacquer coating and is accented by the relic'd gold hardware. The neck is exceptionally comfortable and features the softest "V" shaped profile. Wrap your left hand around it and you won't want to let it go! We also compared the relicing jobs between the several Cunettos currently listed and find this one to be one of the most authentic and realistic of the lot.

The Custom Shop pickups are bright, full-toned, and articulate. You can easily go from a chuggy and swampy Stevie Ray sound to a more subdued, bluesy Clapton tone with the flick of the selector switch. Nice, bright bell tones, too.

This Diamond Dealer Strat comes from a long-held private collection and has been meticulously cared for. Please take a look at the photos- the case candy, both cases, bridge cover and tremolo bar are all present and you will see that the C.O.A. is front and center. That completes this highly desirable collector's package.

In our honest opinion, this Anniversary Strat can be put up against any guitar made by Fender from any era and it will more than hold its own. The quality and craftsmanship are evident from the first strum and you will be more than pleased as you take ownership of this incredible piece.

Please take a look at the photos, let us know if you have any questions and as always, thank you for stopping by!
