Offered for your consideration is this gorgeous '59 Telecaster built in the Fender Custom Shop built in 2008. This sweet Tele was specially built for the Fredericksburg. Maryland-based Fender Dealer Make'n Music, thus the unique MM serial number.
This guitar has a two piece Ash body with a transparent 'Vintage White' nitrocelluslose lacquer finish, vintage gold hardware and a total weight of just 7.0 pounds. It has been given Fender's 'Closet Classic' finish treatment which in this case consists primarily of very realistic finish checking that can only be seen upon very close inspection (see close up photos).
Other vitals include a nice big quartersawn maple neck with Fender's 10/56 V-shape with depth measurements of .950" at the 1st fret increasing to 1.00" at the 12th. The lovely dark slab rosewood fingerboard has a .950" radius, 6105 fret wire and a 1.650" nut. Don Mare pickups are currently installed; a 'Tweed Monster' with 7.98K of output in the bridge position and a '1953' of moderate output in the neck position.
This Tele almost plays itself and the tone is even better. The bridge position tone is classic Tele twang without being piercing and the neck and middle pickup positions are particularly rich sounding. Please check out the brief sound sample provided below.
This guitar has been played but remains in excellent minus condition with just one little ding on the top edge (see detailed photos) in addition to the factory aging. The frets remain in superb condition as shown in the close-up pics. It comes in it's original premium center pocket tweed G&G case, also in great condition, along with the certificate of authenticity, the factory build sheet and a some of the original accessories as shown. While shown with a single-ply white pickguard shown in most of the photos, this guitar originally came with a tortoise guard thatis also included and looks great on the guitar (see photo with tortoise guard installed).
This Custom Shop Telecaster was very carefully spec'd and the result is one very special Telecaster IMHO. Give it a good look and I suspect you will want to make it yours!
