2012 Fender Custom Shop '63 Telecaster Closet Classic Relic Sherwood Green
Offered for your consideration is this killer Fender Custom Shop Telecaster. This sweet Sherwood Green Tele has a Closet Classic (lightly aged) finish and was built in 2012.
This beauty has an Alder body with a nitrocellulose lacquer finish and a total guitar weight of just under 7.5 lbs. It has a Maple neck with a 60's Oval C carve with depth measurements of .82" at the first fret and .93" at the twelfth by my measurements. The fretboard is made from very dark AAA grade Rosewood with a 9.5" radius, 6105 fret wire and a 1.650" nut width. The electronics include Custom Shop 63 single coils combined with modern wiring, master volume, master tone and a three-way switch. The guitar now sports a 3-ply white pickguard, but the original tortoise guard is included in the case.
If you favor a sleek neck shape, the oval C on this beauty will suit you just fine. The guitar is nicely setup with a new set of Elixirs and nearly plays itself! The moderate output of these 63 pickups give the guitar a crisp, vintage Tele tone with lots of twang and clarity. Please check out the brief sound sample to hear for yourself.
Built as a "Closet Classic" this guitar was given light Relicing (aging) at the factory. It is hard to tell where the factory aging ends and the play wear starts, but the frets on this beauty show no observable wear, so it seems to have seen relatively little play time. I've included a photo which shows the aging/wear on the guitar and it looks and feels like a real vintage Tele which has been well cared for. It comes in it's original G&G case, also in superb condition, along with the Certificate of Authenticity, the build sheet, the ash-tray bridge cover, the original tortoise pickguard and all the other accessories shown.

Shipping to Continental US addresses is via FedEx Ground, with flat rate shipping of $60 to Eastern time zones, $70 Central and $80 Mountain/Pacific. Shipping to Alaska and Hawaii is $100. Refunds of the original purchase price less shipping and a 10% restocking fee may be requested within 48 hours of delivery. Exchanges within one (1) week of the original date of purchase may be made for an item of equal or greater value at the discretion of Capital Guitars. Where permitted herein, items must be promptly returned at the buyer's expense, in the same condition as received with all accessories and paperwork included. Sale items, purchases that are made via layaway, those involving trades and/or international shipping are considered final except upon an error by and at the discretion of Capital Guitars.
