Description

Check out this wonderful example of a Fender Custom Shop Stratocaster. This lightly played instrument was built in 2013 and was ordered with: an Alder body with a gorgeous Shoreline Gold nitrocellulose finish, very light and tastefully-applied aging, noise shielding paint in the body cavities and a total guitar weight of just 7.6 pounds; a medium/large '65 C-shaped Maple neck with depth measurements of .845" at the first fret and .975" at the twelfth fret; a AAA grade Indian Rosewood fretboard with 9.5" radius, 6105 frets, MOP inlays and a 1.650" bone nut; and for electronics, Fender CS Fat 50's single coils in the neck and middle positions, a Texas Special in the bridge position, along with 250K/10% taper pots, VTT and five-way switching. Despite all the great guitars in our shop, this one gets a lot of second looks. The paint job and aging on this one are just a bit special. Shoreline Gold is a finish that looks gold in some light and silver or gray in other lighting. The aging on this guitar is limited primarily to very fine finish checking on the body and some aging of the hardware. Once you pick up this guitar, however, you quickly realize that it's beauty is more than skin deep as this guitar plays and sounds special too! The pickups selected and the shielding paint seem to make for a particularly great sounding Strat! A check of the frets indicates that this guitar has seen little play as there is no obvious fret wear. It comes with it's original G&G case with Fender amp logo, the certificate of authenticity, factory floor spec sheet and all the accessories. If you are in the market for a special Fender Strat, give this beauty a second look. Very nice!
